Range Rover Sport 2014 spotted in Dubai

The UAE has become a hot-bed for hot-weather testing by many European carmakers, one of which is Land Rover in recent times. So it was only a matter of time before the next-generation 2014 Range Rover surfaced on the streets of Dubai.

This prototype was caught by reader Adil Ahmad on the highway. The Range Rover Sport is traditionally based on a shortened version of the Land Rover LR3 platform, and will likely continue doing the same. It remains to be seen whether it loses weight like the next-generation Range Rover by utilising more aluminium bits. Engines are likely going to be a new turbocharged 3.0-litre V6 and a carryover supercharged 5.0-litre V8.

Expect the new model to debut by the end of this year, with sales starting in late 2013 possibly.
