Nissan 370Z Twin-Drift World Record in Dubai 2
Nissan Middle East set a new Guinness World Records title for the longest twin-vehicle drifting. Two Nissan Z cars drifted around a track at the same time without stopping for 28.52 km. The record was set in the second attempt during the launch of the Nissan 370Z Drift Experience in Dubai.

The “Nissan 370Z Drift Experience” is a partnership between Nissan Middle East and the Prodrift Academy, which uses Nissan 370Zs alongside the Prodrift Academy’s professional instructors to teach anyone how to drift in a safe and controlled environment. Prices start at above Dhs 2,000 for a single-day course at the Academy, last we checked.

The cars used at the record attempt were Nissan 370Z and Nissan 350Z cars. The drivers were Ahmed Daham and James Deane, and the event was held in a makeshift wet figure-8 skidpad created at the Global Village parking lot. The Guinness Book of Records official, VIPs and media were invited to watch the attempts.

A full run could take anywhere from 35 to 45 minutes to beat the previous record of about 24 km. The first attempt ended about half-way in when one of the cars spun out. The second attempt was completed successfully.

This is the third world record by Nissan Middle East, after a plane-pulling stunt with the Nissan Patrol last year and the world’s longest desert convoy at the Nissan Xplore event earlier in 2013, all of which we’ve attended.
