iCAUR to launch in UAE with V27 full-size electric SUV

A new player is entering the UAE’s electric mobility scene — and it’s bringing more than just another EV. Meet iCAUR, a new-energy vehicle (NEV) brand jointly powered by Chery’s global automotive expertise and Smartmi’s internet-native design thinking, part of the Xiaomi ecosystem.

Behind the scenes, iCAUR benefits from the technical and production backing of Chery, China’s top auto exporter.

On the design and tech side, Smartmi (a Xiaomi-affiliated company) infuses iCAUR with fast, user-centred innovation, emphasising feedback-driven development and minimalist tech design. 

iCAUR V27

For its UAE launch, iCAUR will debut the V27 — a full-size SUV developed with regional preferences in mind. The V27 blends a boxy design, spacious interior, and practical tech features.

The iCAUR V27 is approximately 5 metres long and features large bumpers and pronounced wheel arches that accentuate its rugged stance. It rides on generously sized black alloy wheels that add to its road presence.

At the front, rectangular headlights with integrated circular LED daytime running lights give it a distinctive retro-modern look, while oversized side mirrors enhance visibility and contribute to its utilitarian design.

The rear features a side-hinged tailgate complete with an integrated storage box, vertical tail light clusters, and a compact roof spoiler, all of which combine to create a design that’s both functional and visually striking.

As part of the brand’s modular strategy, the V27 supports personalised upgrades, letting users contribute to the evolution of their vehicles. A variety of accessories will be available to customers directly from the brand itself.

iCaur V23

The iCaur V23, launched at the Beijing Motor Show last year, is a rugged, retro-styled subcompact SUV that evokes classic 4×4 aesthetics. It’s available in single-motor RWD and dual-motor AWD variants, offering a range of between 300 and 500 km, depending on the battery pack and layout.

With its boxy design, 210 mm ground clearance, and impressive 43°/41° approach and departure angles, the V23 positions itself as an urban-capable off-roader.

Middle East iCAUR debut in the UAE

iCAUR will soon open its first showroom in the UAE. While initially, only the V27 will be available, more models are expected to follow.
