GWM opens its largest overseas showroom in Dubai

Great Wall Motor (GWM) has expanded its presence in the UAE with the opening of its largest showroom outside China, located on Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai. The new flagship facility was inaugurated by GWM’s UAE distributor, Saeed Juma Al Naboodah Group, marking another milestone in the Chinese automaker’s regional growth strategy.

Strategically positioned along one of Dubai’s busiest automotive and commercial corridors, the showroom showcases more than 10 models from GWM’s portfolio, including vehicles from the HAVAL, TANK, and POER ranges. The facility is designed to serve as a central destination for customers interested in exploring the brand’s latest SUVs, pickups, and new-energy vehicles.

Launch event attracts government officials and industry leaders

The opening was celebrated with a launch event attended by senior executives from GWM and Saeed Juma Al Naboodah Group, government officials, media representatives, industry stakeholders, and content creators. Among the distinguished guests was UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade, H.E. Dr. Thani Al Zeyoudi.

Premium showroom experience

According to GWM, the new showroom has been developed in line with the brand’s latest global retail identity. In addition to vehicle displays, the facility includes customer-focused amenities such as a dedicated café and a children’s play area, creating a more family-oriented showroom experience.

The flagship facility brings the HAVAL, TANK, and POER ranges together under one roof, improving accessibility for customers while strengthening the brand’s visibility in one of the UAE’s most prominent automotive locations.

Focus on innovation and new-energy technology

Sunny Bhat, Chief Operating Officer of GWM Middle East, said the opening represents an important step in the company’s expansion plans across the region.

He noted that the facility is designed to offer customers an immersive environment where they can experience the brand’s latest technologies, including GWM’s Hi4T hybrid powertrain platform, which has been introduced on several of the company’s electrified off-road models.

Strengthening the partnership with Al Naboodah

Khawla Saeed Juma Al Naboodah, Group Executive Director of Saeed Juma Al Naboodah Group, described the showroom as a significant development in the group’s automotive operations and a reflection of its long-term partnership with GWM.

She added that the new purpose-built facility is intended to enhance operational efficiency and provide a more seamless customer experience while supporting the continued growth of the GWM brand in the UAE.

Swaidan Trading, a subsidiary of Saeed Juma Al Naboodah Group and the official distributor of GWM in the UAE, has played a key role in expanding the brand’s footprint across the country through a growing retail and service network.

GWM continues Middle East expansion

The opening of the flagship showroom comes as GWM continues to strengthen its position in the Middle East, with the UAE serving as a strategic hub for the company’s regional operations. The brand has been expanding its lineup with a mix of SUVs, pickups, and electrified models, while investing in customer experience and retail infrastructure to support future growth.

With its largest overseas showroom now operational in Dubai, GWM is further reinforcing its commitment to the UAE market and its long-term ambitions across the Middle East.
