The Chevrolet Malibu burst onto the local midsize sedan scene back in 2010 after being absent for almost a decade. I still remember it because we trundled around in one for a month and actually enjoyed it, as it drove like a car that was aiming higher than it needed to, with excellent handling, two-tone interiors, a huge wheelbase and luxury-grade ride quality. Unfortunately its lifespan was cut short as it was replaced by an inferior product with a shorter-wheelbase Opel chassis, longer overhangs and much less character, although we never actually drove it. Saleen has quite a history. The American Supercar manufacturer came out with the mighty fast S7 model in 2000 and then with a faster twin-turbo S7 in 2006. A number of lawsuits filed against them in the recent years by Ford dealers and a few customers due to delayed deliveries gave them a tough time. But they are now back with a bang. They have previewed their new S7, the S7 Le Mans edition. Saleen claims that they are bringing back America’s only true supercar. This edition will hark back to their victory at the 2010 Le Mans.

The Dodge Neon is back, but not in the way you think. While the original was an all-American compact sedan, the new one is born from the Fiat-Chrysler conglomerate. In fact, the 2017 Dodge Neon started life as a Fiat Tipo, and it was was even displayed at the last Dubai Motor Show as such.

Harley Davidson has taken the covers off their all-new powerplant, the Milwaukee-Eight. Rumours about this engine had been floating around for a while now. The Milwaukee-Eight retains the 45-degree V-Twin classic Harley angle and is a replacement for the twin-cam engine that debuted in 1999. As the name suggests, the new engine comes with eight valves, four per cylinder, in order to follow stricter emission regs.

The new engine claims to produce more power, less pollution and less vibrations even though fuel economy figures improve. It also promises a slimmer design, smoother ride and a better exhaust note.
