General Motors is recalling as many as 69,000 of their 2013 full-size SUVs, pickups and vans that could shift out of “Park” by itself and roll away. The recall includes everything based on the GMT900 platform, which includes the Cadillac Escalade; the Chevrolet Avalanche, Express, Silverado, Suburban and Tahoe; and the GMC Savana, Sierra, Yukon and Yukon XL.
The 2013 Cadillac XTS was just launched in the GCC, but the car is already having its first recall, involving the headrests.
Hennessey has taken Cadillac’s CTS-V coupe, done away with the supercharged 6.2-litre V8 in favour of a 7-litre engine block and force-fed it by a pair of turbos for some extra oomph. They call it the 2013 Hennessey VR1200 Twin Turbo Coupe.

The all-new 2013 Cadillac ATS joins the General’s luxury line-up, a compact rear-wheel-drive sedan hoping to go up against the BMW 3-Series and the Mercedes-Benz C-Class.

Designed to take on premium competition like the Mercedes C-class and BMW 3 series, the ATS is based on the new Alpha platform, which will simultaneously underpin the next generation Chevrolet Camaro.
Recalls are boring news. They’re in fact so boring that we only cover them once in a while now. The number of recalls per month has actually reduced since the last time we did a rundown, by about 35%. Of course, the general media still chooses to sensationalise some recalls more than others, especially anything to do with Toyota. In the past two months, there have been recalls by Lexus, Land Rover, General Motors, Ford, Honda, Suzuki, Chrysler, Saab and even Mazda, the last of which is a hilarious one.
