Long-term update: Honda S2000 gets A&F home-delivered battery


There’s nothing much to report on the Honda. It is a Honda after all. The only niggling thing was that, a few months ago, it was taking a few seconds too many to start, which was the sign of a weak battery. This was confirmed by the dealer workshop during its last service. But we chose to get our battery replaced via A&F Auto Parts’ battery delivery service.

Lotus to start building motorcycles in new project


A new company called Lotus Motorcycles, a joint project of Kodewa, car designer Daniel Simon and the Holzer Group, has apparently been established to design and build the first motorcycle under the badge of the long-running sports-car manufacturer. The bike will be named Lotus C-01, and is being billed as a “hyper-bike” by the company.

We used to own a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee right up till last year. Despite what hype you may hear, the Grand Cherokee has never been a Range Rover rival; more entry-level luxury rather than premium luxury. But the real reason we bought one back then was because it was the cheapest way to get behind the wheel of a midsize SUV with a big V8 under the bonnet. So we got a 2013 Range Rover Evoque


No, we didn’t buy an Evoque, contrary to what you may have seen on the internets. Despite our issues with them, we asked Land Rover for one and, despite our issues with them, they still gave us one. We assume it’s a 2013 model, although with almost 9,000 km on the clock, it could be a 2012 for all we know. Not that it matters. It’s a good-looking car, to say the least.
