The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority has launched a new initiative entitled ‘Reflect Your Special Moments on Your Number Plate’, offering residents a chance to select five-digit vehicle number-plates signifying important dates and events in their lives such as birthdays, wedding dates and graduation dates.
Central Motors & Equipment sole distributor of Phillips 66 products in UAE
Last year, it was announced that Central Motors & Equipment (CME), a member of the Al Fahim Group and distributor of automotive products, had become an official marketer and sole distributor of Phillips 66 Lubricants, one of the largest finished lubricant suppliers in North America, in the UAE. One of Phillips 66’s major products, Kendall Oil was revealed in the UAE recently.

9 electric-car charging stations to be set up in Dubai
As a part of Dubai’s continuing efforts to plug the city into the world community inclined towards “Going Green,” the Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) has announced that it has planned to set up two more charging stations at different locations in the city, taking the total count of such stations to nine. Nissan GT-R breaks world record title for fastest drift in UAE
Nissan has set the Guiness World Records title for the fastest ever drift. The record was broken with a speed of 304.96 kph and 30-degrees angle using a specially-tuned Nissan GT-R. Masato Kawabata, the Japanese drift champion and title holder for the Japanese drifting series, clinched the top spot from former record holder Jakub Przygoński of Poland. The record was set during a special event that took place at Fujairah International Airport, UAE.

Large vehicles banned for expat families with less than 5 members in Saudi Arabia
Foreign residents in Saudi Arabia with less than five members in the family will not be allowed to own a vehicle with seven seats or more, the General Directorate of Traffic has said.
