The Ford Mustang GT with its 5.0-litre V8 might be pretty quick but Shelby thinks that 420 hp is a little less for a pure bred muscle car, and have come up with a 624 hp powerhouse of a car; dubbed the Shelby GT. The car was unveiled at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show.

This kind of reliability is more than we ever could’ve hoped for. But the 282 hp 4.4-litre V8 engine is nine years old now, with around 107,000 km on the clock. Wouldn’t it be interesting to see if it has lost any performance over the years, as is supposedly the case with all engines?
