Nissan has announced that a 100% electric compact van, the e-NV200, will go into production at its Barcelona plant in 2013.
Mini John Cooper Works 2013 lineup gets new engine
Mini has introduced a new motor for their JCW range of cars. The turbocharged 1.6-litre 4-cylinder engine configuration is retained, it even has same the power and torque outputs as the outgoing engine. The only news is that fuel economy and C02 emissions have been improved substantially.
Renault Duster 2012 launched in Abu Dhabi
The 2012 Renault Duster, quite possibly the cheapest SUV currently on sale in the region, was officially launched in Abu Dhabi, after its debut in Dubai a couple of weeks ago. Interestingly, the Duster is slightly cheaper in Abu Dhabi than in Dubai. The Abu Dhabi dealer is Al Masaood Automobiles.
Toyota 86 prices released for UAE
UAE dealer prices for the all-new Toyota 86 have been released, at the GCC launch event in Abu Dhabi. There are four model variants that are officially available, although Al Futtaim Motors says the available options might change in the future, depending on demand.

Long-term update: Lexus IS 300C from a woman’s perspective
For someone who’s not overly enthusiastic about cars, the Lexus IS 300C surely came as a surprise to me, something worthy of making a few good comments about. Looking from the exterior, personally, any 4-door sedan as I see it, is a ‘family car’ to me. This is what I thought of the Lexus IS 300C too as I got a first glimpse of it from our balcony. I later noticed it had only two doors.
