Heriot-Watt University hosts fashion show at Infiniti Centre Dubai


The new Infiniti Centre on Sheikh Zayed Road held a fashion show on 20th April 2012, hosted by Heriot Watt University. The event titled Aura Fashion Show promoted designs of the university’s fashion-design students. This is the second time a fashion show is hosted at the new Infiniti Centre, the first one being held earlier last month showcasing clothing lines of international designer Akl Fakih and Emarati designer Fatima Al Kaabi. It is part of of a marketing push to associate the upscale Infiniti brand with high-society happenings.

Jaguar is reinventing itself, according to their new “Alive” marketing campaign. After years of peddling classically-handsome automobiles to traditionally-older gentlemen, things took a turn for the modern when the XF debuted a few years ago. And then the XJ continued that transformation. The XK was always around in the background. Now with three ultra-futurist models making up the range, they’ve revamped their logo and are heavily pushing their cars towards potentially-younger customers. Part of the GCC launch event for the campaign involved a round in the V6-powered XJ-L which debuted last year. This was the first time in our seven-year existence that we’d actually been invited to a Jaguar driving event.

It is all over for the 2107, as Lada confirmed last week that they were ceasing the production of their long-standing model, which is also known as the Riva. It began touring the roads of Russia since the 1970s, and is known to have Fiat origins.
