As you may have noticed, the website has seen almost no updates for the past week. General Motors has chosen the 2008 Abu Dhabi International Auto Show in December to launch the 2009 Chevrolet Malibu 4-door sedan in the GCC.

Just when you thought Audi couldn’t do any worse, the VW-owned German manufacturer is now planning to release a subcompact hatchback called the Audi A1 Sportback. Currently only shown in concept form at the 2008 Paris Auto Show, the A1 wants to take aim at the Mini, but will most likely become known as an overpriced Yaris competitor.
We’re not quite sure what the purpose of this concept is, but it sure looks great. Shown at the 2008 Paris Auto Show, the car is called GTbyCITROËN, and it will be a playable car in some game called GT5 on some kid’s contraption called PS3. It seems to be a non-working full-size model, as Citroen’s press release is filled with nonsense, but no real mechanical details.
In what amounts to the lamest attempt at cost-cutting, Seat has just unveiled a “new” sedan model at the 2008 Paris Auto Show, called the Exeo. It would’ve been interesting, except for the fact that it is just an older-generation Audi A4 sedan with new front and rear designs. Seat was a source of unique designs relative to VW’s boring overpriced cars, but now it seems to be transitioning into a dumping ground for the VW Group’s unwanted designs.
The Mitsubishi Colt disappeared from GCC markets almost a decade ago due to poor sales. But it continued with new iterations in other markets, including Europe. The latest 2009 version is out, but it isn’t exactly the prettiest.
It’s been in the works for years, but Toyota has finally got off their lazy asses and built it. The Lexus IS convertible just debuted at the 2008 Paris Auto Show. Called the IS 250 C, it features a folding metal top and revised overall dimensions.
While the brainless general media is still chasing stupid teaser images of the upcoming Lamborghini concept sedan, we can always depend on the web to leak information early. The car has been fully revealed on the internet, and it is called the Lamborghini Estoque.
