Ford Racing reveals Mustang 302S and Cobra Jet race cars


Ford Racing, the racing performance arm of the American carmaker, has revealed two race-ready versions of the 2011 Ford Mustang. Seemingly catering to two different crowds, the first release if the Mustang Boss 302S for the racetrack, and the second is the Mustang Cobra Jet for the drag strip. Neither of these cars will be found at your local dealer.

So we got a 2011 Ford Mustang GT 5.0


It’s always nice when a manufacturer gives us a test car for a reasonable amount of time. Mazda gives cars for only a day. Porsche gives cars for a ridiculous 6 hours. And Aston Martin asks for your date of birth. So we boycotted those companies in terms of test-drive coverage. Ford is variable, depending on what’s available. The 2011 Mustang GT 5.0 seemed to be available. And they gave it to us for nearly a week.

The 2010 Sharjah Auto Show in October also played host to the first Middle East Motor Tuning Show, which in turn hosted the 2010 Custom Design Cup. Ford Mustang Boss 302 2012 model debuts


Ford says that in 1968, their management approved a special Mustang, a car that sacrificed nothing in its quest to be the best all-around road-going performance machine ever created by Ford Motor Company. That car became the sought-after 1969 Mustang Boss 302. Forty-two years later, the badge has been resurrected. With the millions of “special edition” Mustangs floating around, it is amazing that this badge didn’t pop up sooner.
