The Mini Paceman concept, essentially a Countryman crossover with two fewer doors, was displayed at the 2011 Detroit Auto Show as Mini’s answer to the three-door Range Rover Evoque. And it has already been approved for production.

Hyundai showed off a concept hatchback “coupe” called the Hyundai Veloster back in 2007. The compact coupe was a design study on how the direct replacement for the Hyundai Coupe would look like, considering the Genesis Coupe had moved too upmarket. The Veloster has already been spotted testing in Europe and elsewhere, but the Veloster prototype is also undergoing hot-weather testing in Dubai, even if it is winter here, as seen in these exclusive photos by reader Henry G.L.
The Hyundai Azera, a competent full-size front-wheel-drive sedan that fits in between the Genesis and the Sonata, is going in for a full redesign, and it’s going to be good.
Nissan and Mitsubishi has announced that the two companies agreed to “expand their current scope of co-operation towards new projects that will further strengthen mutual competitiveness.” Apparently this deal will lead to a new Nissan model provided by Mitsubishi.
This is a sketch released by Honda of the 2012 Civic “concept” that will debut at the 2011 Detroit Auto Show in January. From the looks of it, this may be the coupe version that is available only in the United States.
