Xenatec builds Maybach 57S Coupe

Chrysler released special-edition Dodge Challenger versions for the last few years, dubbing them as Drag Pak models, with SRT-8 6.1-litre Hemi V8 engines mated with other drag-racing mods. However, for 2011, Chrysler has decided to release the Drag Pak yet again, this time with the Viper V10 engine.
American tuner Hennessey is branching out into the personal armoured car market with the introduction of their new Hennessey Armored Performance Vehicles (APV) line. One of the ideas that could be part of the Hennessey APV range is the VelociRaptor APV, based on the Ford F-150 SVT Raptor SuperCrew.
Xenatec, a custom and armoured vehicle manufacturing specialist, has launched operations in the region with a base in Dubai under the name of Xenatec Middle East & Africa this month. Xenatec is headquartered in Germany and builds special modified vehicles such as stretch limos and armoured cars, supplying components in the bodywork process and interior in-house. The company creates complete vehicles from concept development to design and prototyping, through to production.
Following up on the G-Power M5 Hurricane RS, with its tuned 750 hp engine powering it to a ‘world’s fastest sedan’ record of 367.4 kph earlier this year, G-Power has created a new version of their modified BMW M5 called the Hurricane RR, now capable of 372.1 kph.
BMW claims that their X6 is a “coupe” while it has four doors. While that tidbit was thought up by marketing types, and is completely wrong, BMW still had hit on their hands. The X6 is the best-selling BMW in the UAE and possibly the whole GCC. The four doors ensured its success. But Russian tuners Apmotex wondered what a real X6 coupe would be like.
BMW tuner Alpina, who like to refer to themselves as a “manufacturer” as per German laws, has released details on their latest model, the 2011 Alpina B5 F10 Bi-Turbo, based on the BMW 5-Series. It is sort of a pre-emptive strike on the upcoming BMW M5.
Mercedes-Benz has come with an armoured patrol vehicle concept that seems to be attempting a rejuvenation of its military roots. Dubbed the G-Wagen Light Armoured Patrol Vehicle 6.X Concept, it shows the real possibilities of the G-Wagen platform, other than creating rolling roadblocks on city streets.
There seems to be a sudden excess of aftermarket tuning parts for the current BMW M3, some of them from BMW’s own performance division itself. At least three other tuners have also taken it on themselves to make the M3 “better” in one way or the other.
Among the clutter of tuner cars at the SEMA aftermarket show in Las Vegas last year, Chevrolet showed off a V6-powered Camaro with a body kit and a painfully green paintjob. Dubbed the Synergy Special Edition, that car will now be offered as a limited-edition trim level, with some coming to the GCC soon.
